Boo!! Did I Scare You?

I’m a big fan of Booing!! my neighbors. It’s a fun Halloween Tradition that we all get on board for. Have you participated in this tradition? It’s easy and fun.

What you do is pick two neighbors, friends or family to Boo. It doesn’t have to be in your neighborhood although it is fun to see how far it travels. Choose a way to present your Boo. This can be anything you want. I typically use fun Halloween gift bags with matching tissue. Yes, I stay with a theme. It’s the Type A in me!! :) I saw Boo tins in the bargain section at Target today. You could also use a colored bucket which I have seen at Target, Michaels and even Wal-Mart. You could probably even utilize the  Dollar Store for Boo goodies. Now you want to add some treats. This can be sure bought or homemade. It really depends on what you feel like doing. I typically buy items for each child that lives at the house I choose.

Ideas:

  • Candy
  • Pencils
  • Stickers
  • Homemade treats {be aware of allergies though …}
  • I love the Bargain bin at Target. I picked up some glow sticks and funky sunglasses to add to our bags.

It really is up to you to make it fun and creative. Again, this can be as simple or complicated as you’d like.

You also want to add a Boo sign for the recipient to hang on their front door so that everyone knows they have been booed. You also include a note with directions on how continue on the booing. I have created my own in the past but this year I came across a few super cute pre-made ones on the web. I am sharing my finds with you to start your own Boo!

These are what we are using this year. They are from TomKat Studios. I love the funny little monster.

I also found these over at AndersRuff.

This is also a super cute one from Peaches & Mint. You have to request the actual file from her but it’s worth it.
