Kitchen Cabinet Makeover

Hello there lovelies :)

Hope you are all doing well today. I just had to share a recent “makeover” that occurred in my kitchen. I saw the idea on Pinterest and also in my friend Amy’s kitchen. I love our kitchen cabinets. That are maple with an ivory glaze and we picked them out when we bought the house. We have received many compliments on them but being the quick change artist that I am, I wanted to add something else to them {it has been 8 years since we moved in — a change was due}. So I painted the inside a chocolatey brown. I love how they turned out. My plan it to eventually add glass shelves as I think this will make the brown pop even more plus I just don’t want to paint the shelves. So for now they are left as is.

There you have it. A little change for well, a little bit of change! I think I paid $8 for the paint.

Fall Decorating

Hi ya’all! As I sit here in my cozy sweater with the windows open I am thinking FALL! I’m also thinking that my house is so quiet with everyone at school. I’m kinda digging this quiet after a busy weekend.

Last week I did some purging and Fall decorating. It was a productive week. I wanted to share my Fall decor with you. I love orange. It is one of my favorite colors and I think it adds a fun ‘pop’ to any space.

I tried to add little touches of Fall throughout the house. I added a wreath to a wall leading up the stairs, the front door inside {made by me — a yarn wrapped wreath with fun flowers} and out {outside wreath was made by my amazing sis in law and she found the tutorial at Jones Design Co}. The mantel has a few fun touches as well. I bought the #4 for the four of us that live here and I really like that you can add it in at any season. The ‘fall’ tea light holders are from Michaels years ago. I just bought the Leaves candle from Bath and Body Works. It smells like heaven cider. I think it’s probably my most favorite smelling candle ever!! My buffet table has my Target pumpkins that I adore as well as a fun colored table runner that I think came from HomeGoods. I also found the bright orange frame for $7 at Marshals {I love these discount home decor stores!!} The Pick Your Pumpkin pic is from Eddie Bauer Home from many moons ago. On my kitchen counter {next to the cookie jar with homemade snicker doodles, shameless plug} is a fun FREE print that I found over at Hopscotch Studios. I also updated my guest bath with some Fall bling. It’s subtle but there! I had the shower curtain and hand towels that are Fall inspired. I added the cute owl {Marshalls – last year}, the print {found here) at The Letter 4. My kitchen cabinet has an adorable orange owl. I actually have several owls in there. A friend got me owl bookends that hold my cookbooks up and I bought the pencil holder at Target for $3.00!!
