Bee Organized – Wrapping Paper Purge

I am the queen of my To Do List,  with the occasional assistance of my fabulous hubby of course icon smile Bee Organized Wrapping Paper Purge Some of the projects illicit an eye roll from that dear man, this was one of them. Guess what? It was kinda silly, super simple and made me feel a little bit more organized. I had a ton of gift wrap. Years worth. Some scraps. Some of it was just plain ugly or no longer in style. But you know the saying; “One persons trash, is another persons treasure”. I plan to FreeCycle it very soon!

So here is the low down: I have 2 standing gift wrap containers and a whole lot of gift wrap that was not fitting inside the containers. I went through the gift wrap and asked myself the following questions: 1) Had I used it within the past year, 2) Did I like the paper and 3) Would I ever use it again. This was pretty easy for me. I had a keep pile and a donate pile within 10 minutes. Voila ~ done deal! It also gave me a good idea of how much wrapping paper I will need to purchase this holiday season.

This is the container I keep mine in. You can find it by clicking here. The Container Store has a lot of different storage solutions for gift wrap.

Bee Local – Halloween Fun

halloween 253x300 Bee Local Halloween Fun

With October 1st being tomorrow ~ the hunt is on for Halloween Costumes and decor. My kids love exploring Halloween goodies, ghosts and goblins. So as soon as stores start their Halloween displays, we are checking them out! A few fun local places to visit:

Michaels – They have a whole plethora of crafts and decor. You can find holiday baking and scrap-booking goodies here as well. One of Ben’s {my oldest son} favorite things to look at is their haunted house display. It is a village of all things haunted. A lot have working parts and they are fun to watch.

Spirit Halloween Store – You can pick up accessories and costumes here. They also have a lot of “working” creatures to scare and delight with the touch of a button. The kids loved it!

Halloween City {located in the old Circuit City building in Folsom} – This store was so big! Filled to the max with costumes, accessories, decor, party favors and supplies. Plus, we bough some of those fun headstones for our front yard and they were BOGO which was a steal even compared to Target prices.

Target – Always a hit for costumes and holiday goodies.

Wal-Mart – Another great and convenient shopping location.

Where do you do your Halloween shopping?
